Pole displays, or customer displays, are used to show information about a customer’s transaction. They vary in text height and technology, but almost always have two rows of twenty characters (2X20). They can be on a stand or set on a table top.

There are usually built on a stand, but some are set on a table top.

Pole displays are used to help reduce employee theft by providing verification that items are being properly entered.
